- How much does Intercom cost per seat?
- Essential is US$29, Advanced US$85 and Expert US$132 per seat per month on the official pricing page in August 2026, with a one full seat minimum. Fin AI is charged separately at US$0.99 per resolved outcome, and WhatsApp is pay-as-you-go.
- What is a Fin outcome?
- Intercom counts an outcome when the customer confirms resolution, stops asking for help, or Fin completes a workflow. It is charged once per conversation even when several questions are answered inside it, at US$0.99 per outcome.
- Does Intercom include WhatsApp?
- Not in the seat price. Intercom's pricing page lists WhatsApp, SMS, email campaigns and phone as pay-as-you-go alongside the plan. Wootdesk includes WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, email, live chat, Telegram and SMS on every plan.
- Is WootAI comparable to Fin?
- Not directly. Fin runs autonomous resolution workflows and is priced for that ambition. WootAI drafts replies from your help centre content and assists agents rather than replacing them, and it is included in the plan price with no per-resolution charge.
- Which is cheaper for a small team?
- It depends on AI volume more than headcount. Three Intercom seats on Essential is US$87 a month, close to Wootdesk's US$50 for four seats — but 500 Fin resolutions adds US$495, while Wootdesk's AI adds nothing to the invoice.
- Can Wootdesk replace in-app messaging?
- No. Intercom's Messenger, product tours, banners and tooltips live inside your product and Wootdesk has no equivalent. If product-led onboarding runs through those features, moving away from Intercom means finding a replacement for them.
- How long is each free trial?
- Intercom offers fourteen days with no credit card required. Wootdesk offers seven days, also with no card and no sales call. Both let you connect real channels during the trial rather than working with sample data.
